Fr. Jacinto de Deus, born in Macao in 1612, was a Franciscan who served as Father Provincial and as Deputy of the Inquisition in the province of Madre de Deus in Goa (India). Author of several works, including Escudo dos cavaleiros das Ordens militares (1670) and Caminho dos Frades Menores (1689), all published in Lisbon, he died in Goa in 1681.
