Faith Lutheran Church (Junction City, Or.)
The Danish community of Junction City organized the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1902 with J. J. Mylund as the first pastor. The first church was erected in 1908 and was moved to the present location in June of 1940. The congregation used the Danish language exclusively in its early years and then added English until 1954, when Danish was discontinued. A strong force in the congregation has been the Danish Ladies’ Aid, which was organized in 1903. This congregation emphasized the Grundvigian tradition and has always been ethnically oriented to the Danish.
