Robert Macon was a founding partner of Macon/Chantreuil, now Chantreuil/Jensen/Stark, an architectural firm. The firm created several buildings on the RIT Henrietta campus: Kilian J. and Caroline F. Schmitt Interfaith Center, E. Philip Saunders College of Business, Wallace Library addition, and the Bausch and Lomb Center.
