F.E. Edbrooke and Company, Architects (Denver, Colo.)
Known as the Pine Street School until 1903, Whittier School was built in the summer of 1882. It was the second school in Boulder, Colo., built to relieve overcrowding at the Central School. The building opened for classes in 1883, with 4 classrooms and 150 students. See Boulder Daily Camera article on 13 Feb. 1961 for more of the school's history.
