Pennington, Art, 1923-

Art Pennington was a member of the Chicago American Giants of the Negro American League in the 1940s, numerous winter league teams, Mexican League teams and minor league teams in the 1950s. His playing career lasted until 1959 when he played for Modesto of the California League. He was primarily an outfielder during his career and was nicknamed "Superman."
