Griffith, Thomas, 1915-

Writer and journalist.

Thomas Griffith was born in Tacoma, Washington in 1915 and died in New York City in 2002. He graduated from the University of Washington School of Journalism in 1936 and reported for the Seattle Times until 1942. He spent the rest of his career as a staff writer for Time magazine, retiring in 1988. Griffith wrote several books on journalism and American culture.
