Washington Library Media Association
Founded in 1978, Washington Library Media Association is an organization for school librarians and technology professionals. WLMA was formed as a merger of the Washington State Association of School Librarians (WSASL) and the Washington Association for Educational Communications and Technology (WAECT) in 1978. Prior to this merger, WSASL incorporated the Washington Department of Audio Visual Instruction (WDAVI) (1971-73) and the Washington Education Media Coordinating Council (WEMCC) (1974) into its organization.
