Manager of the primary campaign for Rep. Carl M. Weideman, John F. Hamilton served as chairman of the 14th Congressional District. He was appointed Mich. manager of the Home Owners Loan Corp. in June 1933. Hamilton was elected to the Detroit Common Council and took office Jan. 1940. The Homer Ferguson Grand Jury indicted him on a charge of bribery, and served three years in Jackson (Mich.) Prison. Afterwords, he entered the real estate business.
