Natchez Fencibles.

Founded in 1824, the Natchez Fencibles was the first military company to be organized in Natchez, Mississippi. The company was composed of officers, non-commissioned officers, and privates. Officers were elected by members of the company. The secretary of the company was William Vannason. I. J. Hughes probably served as the company's captain.
