Joos, Martin.
Variant namesMartin Joos was a linguist and taught at the University of Toronto and the University of Wisconsin. He had a great impact on the study of linguistics through his forty or more articles and reviews, and five books: "Middle High German Courtly Reader," "English Verb," "Five Clocks," "Acoustic Phonetics," and "Readings in Linguistics."
