Connally, Nellie, 1919-

Idanell "Nellie" Brill Connally, wife of Secretary of the Treasury and former Texas Governor John B. Connally, was born in Austin, Texas on February 24, 1919. She attended the University of Texas, where she met fellow student and her future husband, John. Idanell and John married on December 21, 1940. She was active in a wide variety of civic organizations.
