Waddell, James D., 1832-1881.
James D. Waddell, lawyer and Confederate officer, was born 22 December 1832, in Abbeville District, South Carolina, and died 15 December 1881. He practiced law in Cedartown, Georgia, in partnership with E.D. Chisom, until the Civil War began. Waddell served with the 20th Georgia Infantry Regiment, eventually as colonel of his regiment.
