Jolly, Manson Sherrill
Variant namesManson Sherrill Jolly was from Anderson County, S.C. He was a farmer until he joined the Confederate Army in 1861. He served in Company H of the 1st S.C. Infantry Regiment and Company F of the 1st S.C. Cavalry. He was an "unreconstructed rebel" and moved to Texas in 1866. He married Elizabeth Mildred Smith in 1868. In 1869, he died in a drowning accident in Texas.
