Abbott, Irving W.

In the early 1950s, Irving W. Abbott (1910-2000) was with the Alaska Agricultural Experiment Station, served as Executive Secretary of the Alaska Certified Seed Growers Association, and was a representative of the University of Alaska Extension Service. In 1954, Abbott founded a soil-testing business, the Arctic Alaska Testing Laboratory. He sold the business in 1974 to Shannon and Wilson.
