Ebenezer Rockwood Hoar, 1816-1895, lawyer, Whig, Free Soiler, Republican, judge of the Court of Common Pleas, justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, U.S. Attorney General in the cabinet of Ulysses S. Grant, and a U.S. Representative.
