Vasconcells, Jerry Cox, 1892-1950.

Jerry Vasconcells became an attorney in 1916 and then enlisted in the United States Army Air Service in 1917. He received pilot training in both Canada and Texas and became an "Ace" pilot during World War I, accumulating six confirmed hits against the Germans, while fighting throughout France with the 27th Aero Squadron. In 1918, he was transferred and assumed command of the 185th Aero Squadron in Fort Worth, Texas. The following May, Maj. Vasconcells was honorably discharged and returned to his home in Denver.
