Bissell, Mary Eleanor.
Mary Eleanor Bissell was born in Windsor, Connecticut, around 1870. She was the only daughter of Thomas H. Bissell, a banker and landowner, and his wife, Josephine Davis. Around 1893, Mary left Windsor for Massachusetts, where she attended Smith College until 1895. About 1924 Mary moved to Pasadena, California, where she was an active participant in prominent social organizations until her death in 1962.
