The Office of Public Affairs is a resource for the media, the public, and internal audiences with interests in Harvard Medical School and its 18 teaching hospitals and research institutions. Among its functions are: providing assistance and training to members of the Harvard Medical School community in effectively communicating key messages and discoveries to various audiences; developing and implementing information campaigns to update and educate internal audiences, the public, and media about the roles, discoveries, and mission of researchers and faculty at Harvard Medical School and the broader Harvard Medical community; and serving as the central site for outside audiences seeking to identify medical and research experts, verify faculty information, find archived photographs, and explore Harvard Medical School publications.
