Greenleaf family.

Hide Profile

Moses Greenleaf, Sr., of Williamsburg, Me., was a surveyor, cartographer, writer, and pioneer settler who was instrumental in giving the public its first glimpse of the natural resources, landscape, and geography of the essentially unknown wilderness in inland Maine. The collection relates mostly to his wife, Persis and their children: Ebenezer P., Moses, Clara Greenleaf, and Lydia G. Wilder. Clara was the wife of Rev. William Greenleaf. The children of Persis and Moses Greenleaf eventually settled in Illinois.
