Hermann Kesser was a German journalist and writer who emigrated to Switzerland in 1933, then to the U.S. several years later; after World War II he moved back to Switzerland. Marlene Kesser was Hermann's wife. Henry Allen Moe, an administrator at the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, addressed a letter to Franz Werfel.
