Sarah G. Blodgett, a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, was from Franklin, N.H. She was a trustee of the New Hampshire Orphans' Home, a trustee of the Franklin Hospital, and a director of the New Hampshire Children's Aid and Protective Society. She was also chairman of the executive committee of the New Hampshire Conference of Charities and Corrections and president of the New Hampshire Federation of Women's Clubs.
