Freida Ann Jones was born on March 10, 1920, to Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Jones of Muskogee, Oklahoma. In 1939, Jones transferred to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville from Muskogee Jr. College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. In 1939, Jones became the historian for the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. In that same year she joined Pi Kappa, became a writer for the Arkansas Traveler, and was placed on the Roll of Honor. From 1940 to 1942 she was the historian for Zeta Tau Alpha, and member of Pi Kappa , Rootin' Rubes, Boots and Spurs, Pre-Med Society, the Razorback staff, and a writer for the Arkansas Traveler. In 1941, she also joined Lamda Tau. Jones graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1942 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Jones died January 17, 2005, in Tarrant, Texas.
