The 57th Indiana Infantry Regiment was mustered in November, 1861, at Richmond, Ind. It saw duty in Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana before being mustered out in July, 1865. Commanding colonels included McMullen, Hines, Lennard, Blanch, and McGraw.
