Arthur M. Byers attended Central High School in Philadelphia, PA. He was a member on the Class of '99. His instructor in Chemistry was Harry F. Keller (1861-1924). Keller taught at Central High School from 1892 to 1915 and co-authored Laboratory Experiments in General Chemistry, a popular textbook of the day with Edgar Fahs Smith.
