Gerald M. Rafshoon, founder and president of Gerald Rafshoon Advertising, Inc. (Atlanta, Ga.) advised Jimmy Carter in his 1966 and 1970 bids for Georgia Governor. He also served as Media Director and Advisor for Carter's 1976 presidential campaign then joined Carter's White House staff as Assistant to the President for Communications (1978-1979). Rafshoon was also a media advisor for Carter's 1980 re-election campaign.
