Bachelder, John B. (John Badger), 1825-1894
Variant namesJohn Bachelder was a portrait and landscape painter. Born in Gilmanton, N.H. in 1825, he painted views of New England towns. From 1863 to 1865, he was a print publisher in Boston, Ma. Bachelder died in Hyde Park, Ma. on Dec. 22, 1894.

John Badger Bachelder (1825-1894), portrait and landscape painter, photographer, and historian, the only child of Moses and Sally Parsons Gilman Bachelder, was born on 29 November 1825 in Gilmanton, N.H. He married, on 2 November 1854, Elizabeth B. Stevens (1830- ), of Nottingham, N.H. They had one child, Charlotte Butler Bachelder (1861-1874). Bachelder died on 22 December 1894 in Hyde Park, Mass.
