Variant namesHarrison Ford (1894-1957), a silent movie and stage actor. He movd to Hollywood from New York in 1915. In 1931, he retired from the screen to concentrate on stage acting. He continued to work as an actor on stage until 1951. Harrison Ford died at home Dec. 2nd, 1957, in Woodland Hills, California. Ford was also known as a collector of rare books.

Harrison Ford was a leading American actor in silent film and on Broadway. Ford began his acting career on Broadway in 1904, and in 1915 moved to Hollywood, California where he spent nineteen years acting in silent films. In 1934, Ford returned to the stage, performing at the Pasadena Playhouse and Little Theater of the Verdugos in Glendale, California. Ford was hit by a car in front of his house in Glendale in 1951 and never recovered fully from the injuries he sustained in the accident. He died in 1957.
