Stribling, Jesse C.
Born on September 24, 1844. Enlisted in the Confederate Army in 1862 and served in Orr's rifles (also known as Orr's Regiment, Mounted Rifles, Orr's Regiment of Rifles; and 1st Regiment of Rifles). Second-in-command of the "Pendleton Red Shirts" in 1876. Farmer and cattle breeder. Member of the Pendleton Farmer's Society and Old Stone Church Society, served on a committee to buy cattle for Clemson College in 1906. Died May 27, 1927.
