Clock manufacturer in LaSalle, Illinois.

1887 F.W. Matthiessen, Sr., president of a local zinc company, bought the United Clock Company and began production under the name of Western Clock Company. In 1923 Westclox became the company name. Westclox merged with Seth Thomas in 1930, forming General Time Instruments which, in 1968, was bought by Talley Industries.
