From June 1952 to July 1953, Admiral Daniel was the naval member of the United Nations Truce Team negotiating an armistice with the Communists at Panmunjon, Korea. As a liaison officer, Admiral Daniel was involved in negotiating Operation Little Switch, the agreements to exchange sick or injured prisoners-of-war.
