Charles Bolles Bolles-Rogers was born circa 1884 and died in 1975. He graduated from Williams college in 1904 and was assistant commissioner of the American Red Cross during World War II. He also served as treasurer of the F.H. Peavey Company. He was an avid art collector, and his portrait was painted by Diego Rivera in 1942. An award named for him is given annually to a physician for outstanding research by the Hennepin Medical Society. Bolles-Rogers and his wife, Mary Van Dusen Rogers, had three children.
