Holmes, Ted
Ted Holmes was born in Forest, La., on March 23, 1930. While attending Louisiana College, he volunteered for four years of military service when the Korean War began. He transferred to Louisiana State University upon his return, graduating in 1958 with a bachelor's degree in social sciences. He received a master's degree from the LSU School of Journalism. Holmes held numerous positions editing or starting newspapers.
