Lake Agassiz Arts Council.
The Lake Agassiz Arts Council was organized as the result of a 1970 Junior League of Fargo, N.D. and Moorhead, Minn. survey relating to support for a fine arts festival. In 1977 it was restructured to take a more active leadership role in the community and to sponsor the Coordinated Arts Fund Drive. It went through another restructuring in 1983 and today serves to coordinate advocacy efforts for government funding, including the dispersing of grant fund to local arts groups.
