Herbert A. Clark was an active member of St. Elmo Baptist Church, Chattanooga, Tennessee from 1900 until his death in 1948. Trained as a businessman, he served as the president of the Baptist Young Peoples Union, and church treasurer. In addition to his denominational activities, Mr. Clark was active in the Chattanooga, business community, as President of the Union Bank and Trust. He was also elected Commissioner in 1928.
