Variant namesIllustrator and artist born in Kiev (now Ukraine). He arrived in the U.S. in 1902. By 1925, he had moved to Los Angeles (Hollywood). During World War II, he was a painter for the U.S. Army. He also designed books, bookplates, and theater productions.
