Australian Teachers' Federation
Variant namesThe Australian Teachers' Federation was formed in 1921. In 1924, the Federated State School Teachers' Association of Australia was set up, in order to be registered while the A.T.F. was still functioning. In 1928, the A.T.F. was wound up and its functions taken over by the F.S.S.T.A.A. and the first annual conference was held in January, 1929. In 1930 it changed its title to Australian Teachers' Union and in 1936 again changed title to Australian Teachers' Federation.
