Harold S. Worcester was a mining engineer. He was born in Arvada, Colorado, in 1891 and took a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado in 1916. He was superintendent of the Smuggler Union Mine near Telluride, Colorado, from 1927 to 1929, when the mine closed. He then became general superintendent of the Rico Argentine Mining Company of Rico, Colorado. He returned to the Smuggler when the mine reopened in 1940, remaining until about 1949. He died in Denver on February 1, 1954.
