Gaylord family.
Augustine S. Gaylord was a prominent lawyer from Saginaw. He served in the state legislature and also as a U.S. attorny general. He was a legal member and advisor of a commission to treat with the Sioux Indians for the territory known as the Black Hills in Dakota. He also served as a Saginaw County clerk. He married Emeline E. Warrne in 1856 and died in 1877.
