Theobald Richard O'Flaherty

Theobald Richard O'Flaherty (1818-1894) was born at Castletown, Queen's County, on 7 October 1818. He matriculated at St John's College, Cambridge, in 1837 (B.A., 1843), and was ordained deacon in 1843, and priest in 1844. He was curate of Odiham, Hampshire, 1843-1846, and of Tadley, 1846-1848, and Vicar of Capel, Surrey, 1848-1894. He succeeded to the estate of Lemonfield, Oughterard, in 1873. O'Flaherty collected the works of John Donne. He died at Capel Vicarage on 20 November 1894. His library was sold at Sotheby's in 1896.
