Gelman, Woody
Woody (Woodrow) Gelman, d. 1978, was a leading collector of 19th and 20th century memorabilia, primarily illustrated material--old advertisements, cartoons and posters. Also executive of Tops Bubblegum, writer and comic book illustrator; animated the "Popeye" film characters during the 40's. Owner of Nostalgia Press, which published compilations of old comic books, poster and postcard books.
