Evans, George, fl. 1775-1822.
During the Revolutionary War, Dr. George Evans of Chesterfield Co., Va. served as surgeon in Virginia Continental Line and after the war received 6000 acres of bounty lands on the Ohio. His son, George Evans, Jr., Lieutenant of the United States Army, died of pleurisy in 1816.
