Philo Beckwith Wilcox (1818-1898) was born in Benson, Vt. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 1845, was ordained in 1851, and settled as minister with the Union Church in East and West Bridgewater, Mass., as well as school examiner. He remained there until 1860, when he began serving in various parishes in Maine. Wilcox settled in Northborough, Mass., in 1872 as minister without charge.
