American Institute of Architects. Cleveland Chapter
Cleveland, Ohio chapter of a nationally based organization for architects. It was founded in the early 1880s as the Cleveland Architectural Club. In 1890 it affiliated with AIA.

The American Institute of Architects, Cleveland Chapter was founded as the Cleveland Architectural Club in the early 1880s in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1890, it affiliated itself with the nationally based American Institute of Architects and became the Cleveland chapter of this latter organization. The membership consists of architects in the Cleveland area and has been dedicated to improving the city's architecture throughout its existence. One of its major activities has been lobbying for legislation favorable to these improvements.
