Gifford, Alice Mary, 1896-1976.
Alice Mary Gifford was born in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada to Hugh and Elizabeth Mahood Fitzgerald. In 1896 the family moved to Iowa City and at one time operated a boat dock on the Iowa River near the University of Iowa Memorial Union. In 1927 she married Earl J. Gifford in Iowa City. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Iowa City.
