The Smoky Hill Trail Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was formed in 1979. The group has participated in a number of projects throughout the south Denver Metro Area, including indexing the Douglas County Marriage Records, dedicating a marker for the Smoky Hill Trail, publishing a 20th anniversary cookbook and a commemorative World War II book. Average membership is around 20 women.
