Patton, John F., 1903-
Variant namesDr. John F. Patton, Jr. was born in Albany, Missouri on September 27, 1903. He graduated from the Washington University School of Medicine in 1928 and completed his residency in urology at Barnes Hospital. Dr. Patton served on the faculty of Washington University School of Medicine in the Department of Urology as a clinical assistant professor. During World War II, he served in the Army in Africa, Italy, and France as the chief of surgical services of the 21st General Hospital, a reserve unit of Washington University. During this time, he was the recipient of the Legion of Merit and his unit received a number of commendations.
