Bailey, R. Y. (Richmond Young), 1893-
Variant namesBailey was a pioneer of soil conservation programs for Alabama. He graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1916, and became the first state coordinator of the Soil and Water Conservation Service in 1934. He retired in 1957 after 41 years of state and regional soil conservation service.
