Cannon, Amelia M., 1847-1919.
Amelia M. Cannon (1847-1919) was born near South Milford, La Grange County, Indiana, to farmers William H. and Julian Cannon. After the Civil War she married Morten or Henry Shipe. Alfred Shields (ca. 1841-1863) lived in Steuben County, Ind. He enlisted in the 44th Indiana Infantry Regiment in 1861. John G. Burwell served with Alfred Shields in the 44th Indiana Infantry Regiment and was known to Amelia Cannon. Hattie Oiler (b. ca. 1848) lived in Noble County, Ind. in 1860.
