Grimstone, Charlotte
Charlotte Grimstone was a contemporary of the Arctic explorer William Edward Parry (1790-1855). In 1818 when John Ross (1777-1856) and Parry set out on the British Naval Northwest Passage Expedition, 1818 (led by Ross) she was amongst a number of people to visit the two expedition ships HMS Isabella and HMS Alexander .
