Beef and pork packing company founded in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1841 by Jacob Dold (1826-1909) and continued by his son Jacob C. Dold (1857-1924). Business incorporated in 1888 and liquidated in 1943. Plants were located in Buffalo, Kansas City and Wichita, with a distribution branch in Liverpool. Buffalo plant located at William St. and Fillmore Ave.; sold in 1938 to Hygrade.
